Mexico City .- The history of opacity is repeated for the second year, the previous school year by textbooks; now for a new curriculum that very few know.
The start of school cycle, on August 29, it will take place between the confusion of teachers and the community educationalfollowing the announcement of a pilot program for a new curriculum that has not been released so far.
The Secretary of Education, Delfina Gómez, who will leave office to be Morena’s candidate for the Government of Edomex, announced on June 2 that in the 2022-2023 cycle, a pilot program would startbut to date it has not been reported where or from when.
“Yes, there will be a pilot (program), but it has not yet been announced how it will operate,” the SEP press office confirmed.
Educational authorities from Tlaxcala, Quintana Roo, Yucatán and Chiapas have raised their hands to participate in this project, but to date it has not been made clear in which other entities and schools it will be applied.
The SEP held 32 state assemblies to discuss the curriculum plan, where proposals from the educational community were issued that would be taken into account to make changes to the draft curriculum.
On the page of the dependency, the “Curricular Framework and Study Plan 2022”, does not register changes to the proposal launched by the SEP last January.
According to him official calendar of the SecretariatFor the next school year, one week before the start of classes, an intensive workshop will be held for teachers and educational personnel on new study plans and programs.
Academics and teachers expressed their doubts about said program.
Members of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) indicated that they still do not have information, despite the fact that there are two weeks left before the start of classes.
“Perhaps they will wait until Delfina leaves,” said a union member.
Alma Maldonado, an education specialist, lamented that, once again, a school year is marked by opacity, but this time also by the change in the head of the unit.
“I think it’s a start with a lot of uncertainty for the teaching staff and for those who are involved in the entire management issue. It’s not enough (the intensive workshop), you have to work on the educational materials and time is running out,” he said.
