If there’s something to Elizabeth II makes a point of being there is the welcome event at Balmoral Castle to mark the start of summer vacation. However, it looks like this year will be different. The international press reports that, for the first time in decades, the English monarch canceled her presence at the event.
Despite already being on the property, Isabel II will not go to the castle gates to make the usual greetings. “As a rule, the traditional welcome event is scheduled according to the Queen’s calendar and it is something Her Majesty really appreciates, being able to greet the locals who have traveled to see her.,” a source told the Daily Mirror.
The news of this absence is, therefore, received with some surprise, despite the fact that the monarch has already missed several appointments throughout 2022, mainly due to health complications.
