Paris/Napoli – Saturday 06/08/2022 at 09:50
SSC Napoli has the biggest problem in the squad for the 2022/23 season in the goalie position.
The southern Italians are desperately looking for a new number 1 in the box. The two-time “Scudetto” winner got through last season with 25-year-old Alex Meret, but now Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea should ideally become the new first-choice goalkeeper.
However, should the transfer of the 27-year-old Spaniard fail, according to information from “Sky Italia” journalist and transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Keylor Navas from Paris Saint-Germain could become Meret’s successor.
After the preparation, the 35-year-old was clearly at a disadvantage against 23-year-old Gianluigi Donnarumma and should no longer play a role in neo-coach Christophe Galtier’s team. Navas still has a contract with the Parisians that is valid until the summer of 2024, the transfer fee would probably be limited due to his advanced age.
