trainer job? Stöger dismisses several clubs

Peter Stöger is back on the market after leaving as Ferencvaros coach in December 2021.

The Viennese, who is currently working again as a Sky expert, does not have a really great interest in training in professional football again soon, as he says in the Sky podcast “The audio proof” reveals.

Stöger received a number of offers in the summer, but all of them turned them down. “I already had a few things at the table where my assistant colleagues in particular were very sad that we didn’t pursue it further,” explains Stöger.

“But I have the feeling that I should be here in Vienna or the surrounding area for at least the next few months for family reasons,” says the 56-year-old, who is not yet ready for a new task.

Offer from the Arabic region

Without naming a specific club, Stöger admits that there were some interesting inquiries: “There was something from the European market, also from the international market and there were also very lucrative things from the Arab world.”

With which offer would Stöger become weak in the end? “I wouldn’t reduce it to one league. It just has to be exciting, the whole project has to be coherent and fit my life and my life situation.”
