Lawyer Maxim Grebenyuk, who leads the Military Ombudsman project, declared on the closure of a camp on the territory of the self-proclaimed LPR for the Russian military who refused to fight.

Grebenyuk was told about the closure of the camp by two of his applicants, who, as follows from his words, escaped from the pre-trial detention center in the town of Krasny Luch.

“The commanders came for some refuseniks and took them to the rear, for those who didn’t come, they let them go, and they don’t prevent them from leaving for Russia,” the lawyer wrote.

It is not clear from the message where exactly the camp is located, which, according to Grebenyuk, was closed. Earlier, Nestka reported that at least 14 refuseniks were being held in a colony in Krasny Luch. The Insider writes that he is talking about a camp for refuseniks in a colony in the city of Perevalsk, where, according to the father of one of the refuseniks, all the soldiers from the city of Bryanka were allegedly transferred (according to the first reports, those who refuse to fight were kept there).

The publication writes that the military, who were previously kept in Bryanka, confirmed the information about the closure of the camp in Perevalsk. Some military men were allegedly “evacuated” from there, sent to a hospital in Luhansk, some were visited by representatives of their units. One of the sources said that the employees of the Wagner PMC who were guarding the refuseniks also left the camp. According to the interlocutor of The Insider, the camp began to “cover up traces” due to the check of the Investigative Committee.

It is not yet known whether other places remain in Russian-controlled territory where the military who refused to fight are kept.

The fact that those who decided to break contracts and stop participating in the war of the Russian military are being held in custody in the Luhansk region became known in July. According to journalists, there could be hundreds of soldiers there.
