Borussia Dortmund: Ex-Star hopes to return – BVB declines with thanks
It was a fairytale story with an abrupt end: in 2018 Paco Alcacer came to Borussia Dortmundeverything shot up short and small in order to make the turn in a flash after the Haaland transfer.
However, the striker was not at all happy at Villarreal. Now he wants to go back to Germany, also asked Borussia Dortmund on. But there was a rebuff there.
Borussia Dortmund: Alcacer wants to go back – BVB not interested
In 2018, the Spanish attacker came on loan from FC Barcelona and immediately hit the ground running: he scored 20 goals in his first season and was then signed by BVB for 21 million euros.
Half a year later the collaboration was over. Alcacer really wanted to go back to Spain, he was homesick. A buyer was found in Villarreal who paid a whopping 23 million euros.

The 28-year-old no longer plays a role there and is thinking about saying goodbye. According to information from Sky, he would like to return to the Bundesliga. He is said to have been offered to several clubs there – including BVB.
BVB rejects – Berlin clubs an issue
Borussia Dortmund is said to have rejected the offer directly. BVB is looking for a striker, but Alcacer doesn’t fit the profile. The replacement for the sick Haller should be tall, strong in the air and robust. Characteristics that the 1.75 meter tall Alcacer does not have.
More news about Borussia Dortmund:
Two possible buyers should be Union Berlin and Hertha BSC. A single-digit million amount is under discussion as a transfer fee, and Alcacer would probably accommodate the clubs in terms of salary.

Alcacer with horror season
The return to Spain after two and a half years can be described as a flop. He scored four and six goals in the first two seasons for the “yellow submarine”, last season it was just a measly goal. So the ex-star from Borussia Dortmund became more and more of a bench presser and should now go. More here.
