Army secures plane with cocaine from South America in Chiapas

In Chiapaselements of Army and Air Force Mexicans seized a small plane carrying suspected cocaine and aviation fuel.

The aircraft from South America was detected through a radar of the Comprehensive Air Surveillance System of the Secretary of National Defense.

It was with the support of two planes, an Embraer EMB-145, a King Air and two Air Force UH-60 helicopters that they were tracked and ranged when the plane landed 32 kilometers southeast of Mapastepec.

The crew, realizing the proximity of the Military Reaction Forcesthey fled.

During the review, around 136 kilos of alleged cocaine were found in 6 white packages, in addition to 13 drums with 650 liters of aviation fuel.

After the operation, the plane, the drug and the fuel were put at the disposal of the competent authorities.
