What we know about the ninth season of The Flash

If you love The Big Bang Theory, then you owe it to yourself to know who the Flash is, as he is one of Sheldon Cooper’s favorite characters. With the ability to move at super speed, the hero appeared on television in 2014, being based on a comic book character created by Robert Kniger, John Broome and Carmine Infantino. It was expected that the last season would be the 8th season of the series, but the creators managed to agree with the leading actors about shooting the final season. The ratings of recent seasons did not please the film crew, but it was decided to give the Flash one last chance.

release date

The final season will consist of only 13 episodes, although the shortest of the previous ones consisted of at least 18 episodes. The end of the TV show should end before the premiere of the feature film about Barry Allen, which is scheduled for June next year. It is promised that the full meter and the series will not be plot-related.

Recall that the Flash was originally built on the story of a boy from comics named Barry, in which minor changes were made. While still very young, the protagonist witnesses the death of his mother at the hands of a criminal who has super-speed abilities, which he himself will later be endowed with. Barry’s father is accused of what happened, who is sentenced to life imprisonment, and the boy himself, having matured, decides to become a forensic scientist in order to get to the bottom of the truth. Having received the super ability to rapidly accelerate, Barry goes on the warpath with evil.

In the last eighth season at the moment, the main character fights with the Reverse Flash (Eobard Thawne), who intended to arrange the end of the world. In the ninth season, a new supervillain will appear, with whom the Flash will be killed.

The recognizable appearance of the protagonist is due primarily to his costume, the work on which took quite a lot of time. The Flash’s first outfit took lead actor Grant Gustin about 40 minutes to dress up. Most of the time it took not even to get into a tight leotard, but to a mask that was attached to the face with a special make-up glue. Even during the first season, we managed to remake the helmet, which no longer slipped and did not require glue, and the time for transforming into the main character was reduced to 15 minutes. At the same time, the overall design of the costume remained unchanged: a classic red suit with a golden belt and lightning and a red helmet that rips off facial features.

the main role

After showing the first episodes of the series, viewers and critics were not delighted with the work of the lead actor Grant Gustin. The actor collected Hate in his address decently 8 years ago, but since about the second half of the first season, the attitude towards him has noticeably changed. Today he has a multimillion-dollar army of fans who do not represent another Flash. In many ways, it was for these fans that the decision was made to film the ninth season, although the ratings have been creeping down in recent years.
