According to the documents published by ‘Marca’, the offer that the World Padel Tour presented on December 30 means a substantial improvement of 34% regarding the prizes that are being won in the Premier Padel tournament series, promoted by the International Federation (FIP) with the sponsorship of the QSI Qatari fund. The agreement also contained the distribution of the WPT profit sharing up to a maximum of 50% of the benefits that would be transformed into prizes for the players and a purse for the management of the PPA itself, and aid to players from previous rounds and lower ‘ranking’.

In this way, the players are ceasing to enter more than six million extra in prizes regarding their current contracts. Specifically, more than 2.25 million for the five Masters (450,000 euros per tournament) and nearly four million in total for the 20 Opens to be played this season, in addition to the 475,000 euros to be distributed in the Final Master in Barcelona, ​​which will be will be held at the Palau Sant Jordi next December.

Beyond the distribution of benefits, the WPT proposal to the PPA contemplates “a project without deadlines”which includes the creation of a sports commission, chaired by an “independent commissioner” and an “identical number of representatives” of both parties, thus allowing the players to have “a binding and decisive participation in the organization of the circuit”.
