The Ukrainian military is firing from private households in areas of the Donetsk People’s Republic under their control in order to elicit return fire from the Russian Armed Forces and accuse the Russian military of indiscriminate strikes. This was announced by the head of the National Center for Defense Control of Russia, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev.

“In Seversk (Yamskaya Street) and Soledar (Svoboda Street) of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Ukrainian nationalists in private households have equipped firing positions for heavy artillery and MLRS, from which they systematically fire at units of the Russian armed forces in order to call back fire,” Mizintsev said.

According to him, the nationalists carry out such shelling in order to accuse the Russian military of supposedly indiscriminate strikes against the civilian population.

Earlier, in the report of the human rights organization Amnesty International, it was stated that the Ukrainian troops violated international legal norms and military law.
