The works of the New Monumental do not stop: River released new advances on how the new entrance tunnel that the teams will have on the field of play is looking like. An announcement that was added to that of last week, when the institution revealed several details of the renewal that will lead the Liberti to have 81,000 spectators.
The new single tunnel It will allow both formations, together with the referees, to enter at the same time., as is customary today both in LPF matches and at FIFA level. More details? The access floor to the field will be made of synthetic turf and will have LED screens on the walls, as is the case in several European stadiums. The work is 70% complete: the excavation has already been carried out and the concreting process is progressing.
This new entry will be located under the new tray of the San Martín grandstand, which will allow fans in the Paddock area to observe in great detail the exit of the teams, as well as the previous rituals: greetings, harangues, cabals…

Will it be advertised as the grandstands?
With these ads It remains to be seen if River will make some kind of presentation of this part of the work before the game against Newell’s, as happened with the progress of the construction of the Centenario and San Martín lower stands, before the match with Sarmiento. Exhibition that was completed with a reception with streamers and white and red smoke from all four sides.
All these advances are part of what will be the new More Monumental, whose works they are already 40% complete and will allow the stadium to have a capacity of 81,000 spectators, making it the largest in South America.

To all this, new amenities for fans will also be added: the parking lot will be expanded, allowing twice as many vehicles to enter as it does today. There will also be a 24/7 restaurant with views of the Barrio River and the playing field, and a new distribution of stalls and popular (the latter will be located in the lower Centenario and Sívori).
Of course, the most visible change will be the color of the new folding PVC seats: gray will predominate. From the leadership they explained that this is because this range has greater durability than the red onesso you can save economically the cost of repainting the seats; trend that occurs in other stadiums that were recently reformed.
