OZON warehouse tested fire protection systems in September 2021

The Minister of the Government of the Moscow Region for State Supervision in Construction Artur Gabriyan said that in September 2021 inspectors conducted a final inspection at the OZON warehouse, which partially burned down on August 3 of this year.

In the comments to the TV channel “360” he stressed that the video, which was filmed by eyewitnesses inside the burning warehouse, shows that the fire system worked.

“The Glavgosstroynadzor inspectors found that all fire protection systems were installed in full in accordance with the project. Imitation of fire during the test activated automatic fire extinguishing,” Gabriyan specified.

Earlier it became known that a criminal case was opened on the fact of ignition at the OZON warehouse.

The Main Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region listed the possible causes of the fire, including: a short circuit in electricity, a violation of safety regulations in the production of welding work, careless handling of other heat sources by workers.
