Georginio Wijnaldum’s move to AS Roma is a done deal.
As Serie A reported on Friday, the Dutchman’s move to the winner of the Europa Conference League is complete. Wijnaldum is therefore loaned to the “Giallorossi” for one year, and the Romans also have a purchase option.
Should the 31-year-old midfielder complete 50 percent of the competitive games, a purchase obligation would even apply, which should be just under 6 million euros.
Wijnaldum only moved from Liverpool to Paris on a free transfer last summer, where he was unable to fully live up to expectations. The Dutchman recorded three goals and three assists in 38 competitive games.
Wijnaldum’s contract with PSG officially runs until 2024.
