Doctor Bagavieva gave advice on lifestyle changes for hypertensive patients

Doctor, candidate of medical sciences Svetlana Bagavieva told how to change lifestyle to lower blood pressure.

First of all, hypertensive patients need to give up cigarettes and alcohol, because such bad habits worsen the state of the cardiovascular system, the doctor said in a conversation with Moscow 24.

“It is also desirable to reduce body weight if there is excess weight. In addition, physical education is necessary – exercises in the morning, only without exercises, where a person is upside down. You can go hiking or swimming,” said Bagavieva.

Such patients should eat foods containing potassium, as it is needed for the heart muscle, as well as reduce salt intake and give up fatty and fried foods, the specialist concluded.
