show description

One cruise is by no means a cheap pleasure. In addition to the trip itself, Aida fans can book a number of additional packages to make their vacation as pleasant as possible. But of course they have their price.

So must Aida travelers on their cruise book either “all-inclusive” or the drinks package if you don’t want to pay extra for certain drinks. Some passengers therefore scrounged more and more often with friends and families. But the shipping company now seems to be taking consistent action, as our partner portal MOIN.DE reports.

Cruising: Can the bold “bump” keep in check?

A cruise fan made an amazing observation on his last trip with the “Aida-Blu”. He had noticed that in the bars on the ship only one drink per menu could be ordered.

In a Facebook group, he expressed his first suspicion for this measure: “There were probably too many scroungers”. The man believes that the shipping company wants to take action against passengers who order one cocktail after another at the expense of other guests.

Data and facts about Aida:

  • Aida emerged from the “Deutsche Seereederei”, a state-owned company in the holiday service of the GDR
  • After reunification, the company decided to build cruise ships based on the American model
  • This was intended to transfer the principle of a club holiday to a cruise trip
  • In 1996 the first Aida club ship went on a journey, currently (as of 2022) the fleet consists of 13 ships
  • The characteristic of the Aida ships is the kissing mouth on the bow

Cruising: “bubblers” take it too far

Holidaymakers, too, would often have observed that passengers made friends with other guests in order to benefit from their “all-inclusive” offer. While they saved the money on booking, they didn’t seem to want to give up the bar’s generous selection of drinks.
