5 products that made it into your summer beauty bag

Between all the new products, it is sometimes not so easy to find your real favorite products. Our editor Julika opens her beauty bag for you.

You might think that as a beauty editor you eventually lose enthusiasm for new cosmetic products because we write so much about them every day. For me, however, the opposite is the case! Every time I unwrap a package full of novelties, I feel like a kid at Christmas who gets to unwrap the presents before everyone else. I feel like day one when I try an innovative ingredient or discover a pretty bottle that looks perfect on my bathroom shelf. Choosing real favorites among them – not that easy. However, these five products made it and are an integral part of my cosmetic bag.

Precisely my Brow eyebrow pencil

Even though eyebrows may only make up a small percentage of our face, for me the hairs give my face a completely different look in no time at all – at least if I brush them into shape and give them a little more color with a dark pencil. Thanks to the “Precisely my Brow” eyebrow pencil, however, this is done within a few seconds. The fine tip is great for tracing hairs, and with the integrated brush, stubborn brow hairs can be combed back into shape on the go.

Elvital Dream Length Air Volume Dry Shampoo

This dry shampoo catches the eye with its bright pink and orange packaging and makes every summer girl’s dream come true. Even better than the packaging: the contents, which differ from many other dry shampoos in terms of both fragrance and texture. The product lies on my hair light as a feather and without white residue – according to the manufacturer L’Oreal due to vitamins and castor oil – and gives it volume and new freshness right at the roots. That’s rare! The scent also lets me float and reminds me of cotton candy on the Santa Monica Pier in LA with a delicately sweet note

Dior Lip Glow Oil

As soon as summer starts, I’ll be a real lip gloss girl. However, I can do without the sticky feeling. The perfect solution: lip oils. They conjure up a beautiful shine and dip the lips in a delicate colour, but are by no means sticky, but rather lie over the skin like a balm. The Dior Lip Glow Oil – my favorite color is 015 Cherry – also ensures a much fuller kissable mouth, which colleagues even briefly took for lip fillers. This product probably doesn’t need any more arguments….

Monsieur Big Mascara

My personal motto for my eyelashes is: “Go big or go home”. Means: I love it when my eyelashes are charged with maximum volume, length and black color. The “Monsieur Big” mascara from Lancôme not only corresponds to this make-up look in name, but also keeps what it promises. After just one layer, the hairs look much fuller and fanned out, after the second layer I get compliments on how my eyes look. Check! Another plus point: Although it is not waterproof, the mascara keeps my unruly eyelashes in shape.

C Company Fresh Day Serum

Goodbye sallow complexion and pimple marks! While effective, Drunk Elephant’s Vitamin Serum with 15 percent vitamin C doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. A real kick of freshness for your complexion every morning, what more could you ask for?! The mixture of L-ascorbic acid, ferulic acid and vitamin E not only provides a subtle glow, but also helps my skin get rid of dead skin cells and also protects it from the sun.
