A resident of the city of Uglegorsk, Sakhalin Region, who sought the allocation of new housing to replace the dilapidated one and, at a meeting with officials, threw a moldy shoe at the mayor of the city, was allocated a new apartment.
The head of the Uglegorsk district signed an order to provide new housing less than a day after the incident with the shoe. A two-room apartment for a woman was allocated from the municipal housing stock.
The regional administration also stated that “other problems of the district will be addressed as part of the implementation of a comprehensive plan,” which will be developed in the near future.
Also for a woman amounted to a protocol on an administrative offense – throwing a shoe was qualified as petty hooliganism, the corresponding article provides for a fine of 500 to a thousand rubles or arrest for up to 15 days.
