The political caravan and the festive atmosphere that was lived in the heart of Santiago del Estero it turned into a tragedy in just a second. While celebrating the end of the campaign civic front in the capital of the province, a girl was run over after his grandmother tried to overtake a vehicle with her small displacement motorcycle. Losing control, the girl, identified as Damariz Naiara Herrerawas under the wheel of a truck, which caused instant death.
The girl was traveling as a companion on a motorcycle when the tragedy occurred, according to police sources. As can be seen in a video that went viral on social networks, her driver tried to overtake the truck, but she was locked up against a truck that was behind the one that was carrying the provincial governor, Gerardo Zamora.
When the motorcycle lost stability, the girl fell under the larger vehicle. Because everything happened in an instant, the driver continued to move forward and ran over Damariz. Several of those present performed resuscitation tasks, as could later be seen in another video. She was transferred to the Dr. Ramón Carrillo Regional Hospital with no vital signs, where her death was confirmed.
This Sunday, in Santiago del Estero, mayors and councilors are elected in 26 of the 27 municipalities of the province. Gerardo Zamora himself had promoted, on his social networks, the party known as “Caravan of Triumph”. There, the Civic Front accompanied the candidates Norma Isabel Fuentes for Capital and Llamil Abdala for La Banda.
