Mexico.- Ismael Zambada Imperialaliases “The Fat Mayito“, son of Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, obtained an amparo so as not to be detained in Mexicoafter regaining his freedom in the United States.
A federal judge in Baja California granted “Mayito Gordo” an outright suspension so as not to be detained by the Mexican authorities if he entered the country, which was recorded in file 526/2022.
In the protection claimthe judge orders the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) refrain from “any act of nuisance” against Zambada Imperial in case of entering Mexico.
Likewise, the Prosecutor’s Office was asked to notify the Baja California Amparo District Court within 24 hours of compliance with the plan suspension decreed in favor of the son of “El Mayo” Zambada.
As far as is known, “El Mayito Gordo” has no accusations against him by the Mexican authorities and has not crossed the border to return to Mexico after his release in the United States.
On July 21, it was announced that Ismael Zambada, 38, was released from federal prison in San DiegoCalifornia, after serving part of his 9-year sentence for two counts of drug trafficking, for which 5 years remaining on probation.
Among the conditions that must be met to continue on parole are: not to commit another crime, submit to a drug test 15 days after being released, not to illegally possess controlled substances and participate in a program against domestic violence.
“El Mayito Gordo” was arrested in 2014 in Culiacán, Sinaloa, during an operation by the Secretary of the Navy (Semar), and in December 2019 he was extradited to the United States accused of two drug trafficking charges.
