Teatro Síntoma, CoArtRe and La Ropa Sucia are presented this winter in Sala Julieta of Teatro Aleph

The call for performing arts 2022, launched during the month of April at Teatro Aleph, brought together important companies, which will perform during the month of August, within the framework of the Teatro Aleph Winter Program.

“We the monsters”, by the company CoArtRe and directed by Jacqueline Roumeau, is a play inspired by the classic “The Maids” by French playwright Jean Genet. In “Nosotras las Monstruas”, an architect, a chef, a cell phone salesman, an engineer and a social worker take the stage to reflect on diversity, power and violence.

The play, which is performed by five actors from sexual dissidence, Carlos Fernández, Héctor Alvarado, Constantino Recordón, Argenis García and José Zapata, will be presented on August 5, 6 and 7.

The Symptom Theater company will present “La Victoria”, a work inspired by the testimonies of women residents who participated in an organized way in common pots, during the dictatorship.

The work takes place in the chapel of a peripheral commune where common pots are prepared. State forces have entered to raid the place and the residents are faced with cooking the little watered and trampled food that was left, crossed by a terrible tragedy that will put each of these women in conflict at an ideological and human level.

“La Victoria”, directed by Gerardo Oettinger, and starring Lea Lizama, Catalina Torres, Analía Álvarez, Andrea Ahumada, Lucía Díaz and Catalina Cornejo, will be presented on August 12, 13 and 14.

In “Berta”, the public will be part of what is apparently a celebration at the Ugarte Echeverría family home, where they will be able to enjoy everything that this implies: a gathering accompanied by wine and food, meeting the members of the family and sharing with them directly. In immersive theater format, in which the public is free to choose what they want to see, where to go and what stimulus to follow.

“Berta” is directed by Valentina Venegas, and performed by Valentina Fuenzalida, Valentina Venegas Lippi, Javiera Carrillo, Gabriel Aravena, Carlos Godoy, Camila Pilnik and Tomás Abalo.
