Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, first cinematic trailer and Kickstarter debut for crime horror adventure remake

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: Night of the Sacrifices was released in 2006 and was the third episode of the series developed by Frogwarethe first in a fantastic universe inspired by the myth of cthulhu. This “detective horror adventure” will against all odds be entitled to a remake, as announced last week. Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened (which will take over the original English title) will be a total overhaul of the experience, with graphics and a gameplay modern, and above all a reworked story with new side quests, as well as in-depth hero personalities and in accordance with the events of Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One.

The game acts as a continuation of the story of young Sherlock with Holmes and Watson taking on their first major case together. A cult obsessed with the god Eldritch makes moves from the shadows to bring about a world-changing prophecy and it’s up to the young detective duo to thwart their plans. It’s a creative take on what horror-filled and heartbreaking events our heroes might have encountered at such a pivotal time in their lives will transform them into the characters we all know.

For the moment, the release of Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is scheduled for February 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Switch.
