“The efforts of the international community should be aimed at reducing the risk of nuclear weapons and materials falling into the hands of terrorist organizations. In this regard, we call on all states to be responsible for their obligations in the field of nuclear arms control, as well as the criminal prosecution of terrorists and their accomplices,” Kuzmin said at an event as part of the NPT review conference.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is not playing with the topic of nuclear war.

He noted that the inadmissibility of nuclear war is Russia’s principled position.
