Remittances increase in San Luis Potosí in the first half of the year

The state of San Luis Potosí occupied the eleventh position in attracting foreign remittancesas announced in the most recent report of the Bank of Mexico (Banxico).

In the period from January to June 2022, San Luis Potosí received a total of 921 million dollarshaving a considerable increase compared to the previous year for the same period, whose collection was 781 million dollars.

The municipalities with the highest amount of remittances in the second quarter of the year are San Luis capital with 112,680 million dollars, Rioverde with 56,693 million dollars, Matehuala with 39,876, Soledad with 22,780, Ciudad Valles with 22,442 and Cerritos with 21,425.

In the first quarter of 2022, remittances decreased with respect to the October-December 2021 period, so that the entity went from 482,180 million dollars to 410,007, to rise to 511,178 between April and June of this year, even exceeding what was received in the December season.

The Banxico announced the states that capture the most foreign currency through money transfers in the first half of 2022 and these are:

Jalisco, which captured a total of 2.62 billion dollars; Michoacán, with 2 thousand 539 million and Guanajuato, with 2 thousand 391 million dollars.
