The Inter American Press Association announced the winners of the Journalistic Excellence Awards 2022.

Among the award-winning works, which were selected from more than a thousand applications, include journalists from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Spain, United States, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The 13 Mexican journalists murdered who will be honored with the awardin memory” are: Sheila Johana García Olivera, Yessenia Mollinedo Falconi, Luis Enrique Ramírez, Armando Linares, Juan Carlos Muñiz, Jorge Camero, Heber López Vásquez, Roberto Toledo, Lourdes Maldonado, Margarito Martínez, José Luis Gamboa, Alfredo Cardoso Echeverría and Fredy López Arévalo.

While, the jobs that will receive the PAwards for Journalistic ExcellenceMulero specified that “They represent the raison d’être of journalism as an essential tool to inform and educate the public, as well as to denounce the evils of society.”.

Likewise, the first prize in each category consists of a diploma, in addition to 2,000 dollars. as well as there are honorable mentions in each category.
