"An immense act of political irresponsibility": Cristina Fernández de Kirchner pronounces on the resignation of the former Minister of Economy

"I’m not super nothing, no magician, no savior": The new Minister of Economy of Argentina announces his first economic measures

Sergio Massa urged “everyone”, the government, the opposition, companies and civil society to join forces for the good of the country.

Shortly after being sworn in, Argentina’s new economy minister, Sergio Massa, announced on Wednesday the measures to be taken by the portfolio he leads with an eye toward stabilizing the country’s economic situation.

“I am not super nothing, neither a magician, nor a savior. I come to work in a very committed way to try to help Argentina do well and Argentines do better. So that we can transform our resources into wealth. Argentina is a country with developing resources, not a rich country,” Massa said.

“We have to build wealth among all of us. That ‘among all of us’ includes everyone, Government and opposition, businessmen and workers, countryside and industry, social organizations and civil society organizations. We have to solve this double face of the Argentina that has an enormous lack of confidence in its currency, spending disorder and an enormous injustice in the distribution of income,” he said.

More information, soon.
