ARD moderator tries to change: viewers are stunned – “Completely ridiculous”
“Welcome, welcome to you students, you students, your students, you learners and of course also to the teachers, to the teachers, to the teachers, to the teachers, I hope you really feel it now all addressed.” These are sentences that are just like that in the ARD have fallen.
And they are sentences that are hotly debated on Twitter. The words fell in a panel discussion organized by ARD and BR on the subject of “Genders – fad or language (r)evolution?”.
ARD presenter is laughed at in Netzt: But her critics don’t see the whole video
A short excerpt of this 42-minute discussion with students, a singer, a journalist and a spokesman for Bavarian Radio is now going viral on Twitter. Over 90,000 people watched the two-minute clip. It is unclear why the video is now appearing on Twitter. After all, the talk was already broadcast in May.
And as is the case on the Internet, there is a great deal of incomprehension and laughter at first about the attempt by moderator Claudia Stamm to get as many people as possible on board when addressing her.
That is the ARD:
- ARD stands for abbreviation for AWorking group of public law Rand radio stations of the Federal Republic Dgermany
- It was founded in 1950
- The best-known formats include “Moma” and “Tatort”.
- A wide range of content can be streamed in the media library
“Gender doesn’t interest a damn among normal people,” it says, for example, or: “How can you talk like that and not feel completely ridiculous about it or burst out laughing?”
ARD: That’s what moderator Claudia Stamm says in the original video
What most commenters should not have noticed, however, is that the clip was only shortened in such a way that the impression is given that gendering is doomed per se. So only Stamm’s opening statement was shown, but not her sentence that followed afterwards. The moderator said: “I hope I’ve spoken to everyone now and I hope nobody felt addressed because it was a real nonsense, which form I chose.”
More from the world of entertainment:
In addition, it is presented in the clip in such a way that one could believe that the presenter wanted to force people to gender. This impression is also disproved when you look at the whole show. Here you can find the whole video.
