Next Monday, August 8 the university community will return to the classrooms in full.

Through a statement, the UNAM pointed out that sanitary measures and vaccines have been effective in reducing infections. In the face-to-face activities that were already being carried out at the university, no increase in covid cases was noted.

For this reason, although the country is going through a fifth wave of infections, UNAM made the decision to fully resume face-to-face activities at all levels.

However, the statement emphasizes the proper use of the mask, as well as in the ventilation of closed spaces. In addition, the institution urges the community to responsibly follow health measures to avoid possible infections.

Likewise, it is important that people isolate themselves and receive timely medical attention when presenting symptoms of covid.
