4 great science fiction series to watch this weekend on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max and Disney +

‘Stranger Things 4’ fails in its attempt to dethrone ‘The Squid Game’: this is the Top 10 most watched Netflix series in its entire history

‘Stranger Things 4’ finally has failed to dethrone to ‘The Squid Game’ and has had to settle for second place among the most watched series in Netflix of the entire history of the platform. Achieving number 1 was not exactly an easy task, really.

Big data but not enough

The final figure achieved by ‘Stranger Things 4’ during its first 28 days on the platform is 1,352.07 million hours played. Keep in mind that Netflix recently changed how it measures views, so the first 28 days of Volume 1 and Volume 2 are included here.

That assumes that ‘The squid game’ maintains the number 1 loosely, because the Korean series managed 1,650.45 million of hours during the same period, practically 300 million more than ‘Stranger Things 4’. And everything indicates that this record is going to be maintained for quite a while longer, perhaps until the arrival of the final season of ‘Stranger Things’ or the second season of ‘The Squid Game’ itself.

Thus, the historical Top 10 most watched series on Netflix, where up to three series (‘Stranger Things’, ‘The Brigdertons’ and ‘The paper house’) have a double presence, it is for now as follows:

  1. ‘The squid game’ (1,650.45 million)
  2. ‘Stranger Things 4’ (1,352.07 million)
  3. ‘The paper house’, season 5 (792.23 million)
  4. ‘The Bridgertons’, season 2 (656.26 million)
  5. ‘The Bridgertons’, season 1 (625.49 million)
  6. ‘The paper house’, season 4 (649.01)
  7. ‘Stranger Things 3’ (582.1 million)
  8. ‘Lucifer’, season 5 (569.48 million)
  9. ‘We are dead’ (560.78 million)
  10. ‘The Witcher’, season 1 (541.01 million)

For its part, ‘The invisible agent’ has not achieved the success expected by the platform either, since it is already one of the 15 most viewed movies on Netflix, but with data well below what was expected to be its most expensive feature film to date .
