The story of a man in Brazil has gone viral after it was revealed that he tried to perform home surgery on his nose using internet video. This is the story.

On July 21, a man was admitted to an emergency room in the region of clean field, on the South Zone from the city of sao paulo, with a wound on his nose after he attempted to have a home rhinoplasty.

According to local media, the patient would have been guided by internet videos, using 70% alcohol to disinfect the nose region during the surgical procedure.

The man would have told the doctors that he did not use gloves and that he did not clean the blood so as not to open the surgical stitches. Furthermore, he used a veterinary anesthetic and that the intervention ended with a suture with a absorbent thread and a Super glue.

The town hall of Sao Paulo confirmed that the man who underwent home surgery was admitted to the Emergency Care Unit clean field and forwarded to Dr. Fernando Mauro Pires da Roche Municipal Hospital for cleaning the wound on his nose. In addition, he was directed to receive psychological care.

“After being received by the mental health medical team, the patient underwent the care of the oral and maxillofacial team (BMF), which cleaned the wound, bandaged it, and gave guidance on the necessary care. The patient was discharged the same day and referred to continue care in the network with a psychology service“, the city government said in a statement.
