In this week’s CARAS, the summer holidays of Kings Felipe and Letizia with their daughters

Philip and letizia have made a remarkable effort to show themselves modern monarchs attentive to the needs of the citizens they represent, given the Spanish reality, which questions the importance of the royal family.

After, in April, in an unprecedented gesture, the King of Spain decided to make his personal fortune public, allowing all his accounts and assets to be scrutinized, it was now time to introduce changes to the traditional holiday week that kings spend every summer in Palma de Mallorca.

This year, the family opened the doors of the summer residence for the first time – a palace paid for by the local government and which has been the subject of some controversy, with members of the Unidos Podemos party demanding its transformation into a museum – to representatives of the civil, judicial, religious and military society in the Balearics, among others.
