Former President Bachelet left Chile without recording a message for the Approval campaign

Former President Michelle Bachelet returned to Switzerland to resume her face-to-face activities as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva. However, she did not participate in any activity in favor of Approval despite having given her support for said option in the face of the exit plebiscite on September 4.

As reported Thirdfrom the ruling party and the Approval commands confirmed that the former president did not record any message for the television slot and is expected to have no participation.

However, sources close to the former head of state did not rule out the recording of a video or the publication of a message through her social networks.

One of the reasons behind this decision is the division between the different Approval commands and a lack of consensus regarding how to approach the campaign. In addition, once his term ends, Bachelet does not intend to abandon his obligations in the United Nations.
