DFB national player David Raum sees RB Leipzig as the ideal next step in his career.

“Every player dreams of taking the next step. For me, that means gaining experience in the Champions League and gaining a foothold there. That’s why I decided to go straight to Leipzig after the good season at Hoffenheim,” he said the ex-teammate of Christoph Baumgartner and Stefan Posch at TSG Hoffenheim.

Raum came to the Kraichgauers from Greuther Fürth on a free transfer a year ago. At TSG, the full-back matured into a German international. For 26 million euros, he went to Leipzig this summer, where the 24-year-old wants to take the next step under the aegis of Domenico Tedesco.

“Domenico Tedesco immediately convinced me of his style. He is in no way inferior to the club and has the same great ambitions. I’m impressed by the football he plays and how he has shaped the team in a short time,” explains Raum internal league change.
