Weather in NRW: Next heat wave on the way! THAT is coming to us
That Weather in North Rhine-Westphalia I can’t really make up my mind at the moment: one week it’s heat without end, the next storm and hailstorms.
At the moment, the summer sun is still letting us down. Nevertheless, a low is currently giving us a warm, humid climate that is otherwise only known from holidays in the Mediterranean. But that should be in the middle of the week Weather in North Rhine-Westphalia according to the “Deutscher Wetterdienst” (DWD), pick up speed again.
Weather in NRW: Thunderstorms are possible here
Anyone who hasn’t planned a vacation this year and was looking forward to plenty of sun in Germany is currently looking into the tube. Also on Monday (August 1st) instead of blue skies and sunshine there were mostly clouds and gray soup.
From the afternoon, the DWD announced isolated local showers and thunderstorms. The temperatures were between 22 and 26 degrees. That should change on Tuesday (August 2nd).
How to make a weather forecast:
- Around 10,000 ground stations, 7,000 ships, 600 ocean buoys, 500 weather radar stations and around 3,000 aircraft worldwide ensure that hourly weather data is recorded
- Weather satellites provide surveillance from space
- Parameters such as air temperature and pressure, wind direction and speed or cloud height are measured
- around 25,000 reports are collected every hour, which are transmitted and evaluated
Because on Tuesday night, the cloudy sky over North Rhine-Westphalia is expected to loosen up for the most part. According to weather experts, temperatures should then gradually rise again. Up to 30 degrees should then be possible again. However, isolated showers can be expected again on Tuesday afternoon (2 August).
Weather in NRW: is summer finally returning?
The heat wave will return by mid-week. According to the German weather service, temperatures between 30 and 34 can be expected on Wednesday (3 August). Since the clouds are supposed to disappear completely, it’s definitely time to apply lots of lotion again.
Because the sun should be mercilessly beating down on us again and could give one or the other a nasty sunburn.
