A 52-year-old woman died because of the serious injuries he sustained after being attacked by dogs in the department of Rivadavia, Mendoza. Claudia Clara Cáceres was surprised by two stray animals that caused injuries to her leg and her head.

The episode occurred around 11 p.m. on Sunday, on Pascual Sosa street, in the district of La Libertad, in the municipality of Rivadavia, 65 kilometers from the city of Mendoza.

Cáceres was passing by when she was surprised by two dogs. A neighbor tried to help her, but her serious injuries were fatal: the dogs they hurt his leg, so he fell to the floor, and they continued to bite his head and the rest of his body. Due to the violence of the attack, the victim suffered scalp detachment.

Police officers arrived at the scene from a call to the emergency line and helped Cáceres, who was transferred to the Perrupato hospital. However, nothing could be done to save her.

According to the police report, It is about “two dogs with light brown fur, about 50 centimeters tall” that “would not be vaccinated and would not have names” and it has not yet been verified if they have owners.

Nevertheless, investigators suspect the dogs belong to the man who assisted the woman because they were in front of his home, so he was delayed for investigation of the facts, as reported.

In the case, the Tax Office of the 13th Police Station intervenes.

The victim had gone jogging near her house in the department of Albardón, 60 kilometers from the capital of San Juan. Seeing that she did not return home, her brother went out to look for her, and she found her lying with signs of having been attacked by dogs.
