Luis Suarez landed in Montevideo aboard his friend’s private plane Leo Messi to sign his return to Nacional after 16 years. The PSG crack wanted to have this detail with the charrúa and his family, who return to their country of origin years many years later. “The message is clear: I am here for the fans, thanks to them and everything they did. I feel good, with the nerves of what it means to want to get there. I hope to be able to enjoy this special day”, said Suárez.

Leo Messi’s private jet is a Gulfstream V, registration LV-IRQmanufactured in 2004. It is a luxurious aircraft valued at about €15 million that the Barça footballer acquired in 2018 and that he usually uses for family trips, both for himself and for his father or brothers or, as is the case now, his friend Luis Suárez with his wife and children, intimates of the Messi family.

Pure luxury in the air

The plane has 16 executive seats and can be converted into eight beds and has all kinds of luxuries, two bathrooms, two kitchens… Outside, there are a series of inscriptions that refer to Messi. While the number 10 is stamped on the tip of the plane’s tail, the name of Antonella, his wife, and their children Thiago, Ciro and Mateo.

In the vicinity of the airport, fans of Nacional de Montevideo awaited Luis Suárez on his way out to accompany him in a caravan to the Gran Parque Central stadium, where he was expected to greet thousands and thousands of fans who were waiting for him and where he would also later sign his contract with the legendary Uruguayan club to which he returns almost two decades later to try to help with his goals to win titles.
