Currently the average number of homicides per month is 34, numbers that are compared to other periods such as 63 in 2011 and 41 homicides in 2015, which reflects +29 and +7 homicides respectively compared to this year.
The Ministry of Security highlights that numbers mMore than 34 homicides per month date back to 2006in addition to the fact that the Panamanian population has grown by more than one million people, compared to previous years.
