Psychotherapist, somnologist Elena Kolesnichenko told what should be the color of the bedroom interior to improve the quality of sleep.
“You can often hear the argument that one has only to paint the bedroom in the colors of the blue scale, as everyone in it will begin to fall asleep to the baby. Those who have a purple bedroom are supposedly doomed to insomnia. But it doesn’t work like that,” the doctor said in a conversation with Moscow 24.
It is not necessary to decorate the bedroom in one tone, this can cause discomfort to the eyes and increase the level of anxiety due to insufficient stimulation of the optic nerve, the specialist clarified.
Another rule: it is better to decorate bedrooms facing the south side in cold colors, and to the north – in warm ones, Kolesnichenko summed up.
