MEC Scholarships 2022-2023: how to know if they have been granted and the status of the application

Check if you were awarded the scholarship

To check the status of your application, you have to enter the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training. To do so, you have to go to the page Sede.educacion.gob.es/portada.html. Once in it, you have to click on the option my files to access your requests.

Log in

This will take you to the page where you have to log in with the system you used to apply, either the digital certificate of the Clave system or with your ID and a password. Simply choose the option you want to access as an interested party or representative, and make it the same with what you made the request.

Access

Once you have identified yourself in the electronic office, you will see all the procedures that you have open in your name. Here, you have to look for the procedure Scholarships and grants that you have requested and click on the option Access that is just below them.

Condition

This will take you to the page with all the information, where in section Condition will tell you the status of the application. You will also see other data such as the dates on which you have delivered it or the observations where you are given more information and you can specify a link to access the specific consultation portal with which to know its status with the request code.

These are the different states in which your request can be:

  • presented: The request has been sent, but has not yet been processed.
  • In process within the services of your University or Autonomous Community: The request has started processing. You may need to send more information to be able to register it with the Ministry. If it stays too long in this state, check your notifications for any issues.
  • In process in the MEFP (Ministry of Education): The request has already arrived at the Ministry of Education, where your data is being reviewed by crossing it with that of the Tax Agency to see that everything is correct.
  • resolved: The request has been processed, and has been resolved. This can mean that it has been accepted or denied, something that you will know when the notification arrives in a short time.
  • Resolved Fixed/Variable amount: You have been awarded the scholarship, and you are informed of the fixed or variable amount that you are entitled to. You have to wait for the notification to get the details.
  • rejected: Your scholarship was accepted and an attempt was made to send you the money, but the bank has rejected the deposit. You will have to contact your bank to solve the problem.
  • Fixed amount paid into checking account: The fixed amount of the scholarship has been entered correctly.
  • Credited to current account: The variable amount of the scholarship has been entered correctly.
  • Full/partial refund: The scholarship was deposited, but you have been asked to return it.
  • Increase in amount: After receiving your allegations or through an internal process, you are informed that you will be given a larger scholarship than initially estimated. The extraordinary payment will be made to your account.
