A few days ago it became known that Skylar DeLeon, a former Power Rangers actor and with other participation in some television commercials, was sentenced to death due to a triple murder in which he was found guilty.
Skylar DeLeon, former Power Rangers actor, was convicted of a triple murder and sentenced to death
At first, many users on social networks confused him with Austin St. John, who played the Red Ranger, however, it would be an actor who had small appearances in the series as an extra when he was a child.
The actor was born in 1979 under the name of John Julius Jacobson Jr., which was changed twice. The first one was after he publicly confessed that his father had abused him, so he had decided to change his name to Skylar Julius DeLeon. However, when he was in prison he changed his gender and his name again, identifying himself as Skylar Preciosa DeLeon.
In his acting career as a child, he was the protagonist of several commercials and had different roles in television programs including Power Rangers in 1993 and 1994. However, it would not be the Red Power Ranger as many intuited, but an extra as we can see in the following image:
After television, at the exact age of 20, he became part of La Marina. However, after an absence of 15 days he was discharged. Later, he started a family and had children, but due to “economic problems”, the former actor would have begun to commit crimes with his then-wife. Although at first it was theft from small businesses, it was in 2004 that he committed a crime that would take him to where he is now.
The couple, along with some accomplices, contacted a retired couple looking to sell their yacht. However, after a trap that was set for them, both bodies were thrown into the river after forcing them to sign the ownership of their yacht. It was not years later that an accomplice would have confessed to the crime, involving both Skylar, the Power Rangers actor, and his wife.
