Fresh La Peufra, the winner of “New School” on Netflix, is already the victim of identity theft. A young man pretended to be him during a showcase in Spain. We tell you more.
Fresh La Peufra has become a name in the French rap scene by winning the very first season of New school on Netflix. It is in particular thanks to his song Chop that he was able to finish in first place on the podium. The young man simply set fire to the stage and his clip already accumulates more than 12 million views on Youtube.
Fresh La Peufra is on the rise and recently unveiled its very first EP. But when success has just hit the talented rapper, here he is already victim of identity theft.
A “fake” Fresh La Peufra in Spain
This is replenish, the Twitter account specializing in the world of rap who was able to spot the fraud. In effect, replenish released a video of a young man who simpersonated Fresh La Peufra during a showcase in Spain. The craziest thing is that a large part of the public seems not to have noticed anything!
Faced with the magnitude that the news ended up taking, the famous “look-alike” took the floor on Twitter, declaring then:
Basically it was a holiday delirium, I ended up with the robbery of the century.

Fresh La Peufra reacts to the video
Made aware of this situation, Fresh La Peufra also spoke on Twitter. He seems to take this with humor as you can see from his response:
Hello, so the guy pretending to be me in the club, how much does he charge for the show? Just so I can adapt.
Not lacking in response and audacity, his “look-alike” replied:
I took more than the $100,000 from New School.

Also a rapper, the one who goes by the stage name SKN took advantage of the buzz to promote his own music. Yep, he’s pretty smart.
