With this maquero setup you can send rockets to Mars and still have screens left over

Our workplace is a special place. Not only because of the amount of time we spend on them, but because they are where we primarily use our Macs. Working on a Mac has to be a happy place, although there are also maquero setups that fill you with nostalgia. Today we bring you a spectacular one. A maquero setup with so many screens that I wouldn’t know what to do with them. I’m sure you could run an entire mission to Mars and still have screens to spare.

A very “humble” maquero setup

There are users who prefer maquera setups to work quietly. How many fewer things on the table, better. A Mac Studio, a good screen, maybe two, peripherals and that’s it.

That’s not the case for Reddit user JoelMontgomery, who published his work desk a few days ago on this social network. It looks like this:

“Humble” is how this user qualifies his setup, in a clear ironic sense. Here we can see no less than six screens, distributed in this way from left to right: a DELL monitor in a vertical position, another DELL S2721QS 4K UHD that costs 349 euros, a third that is a Cinema Display, a 27-inch iMac and another of an undetermined brand. The cast is completed by an iPad Pro from 2018 that continues to give war although it will not be able to have a Visual Organizer because it is not an M1 model.

According to the user himself, he has been accumulating monitors and equipment over the years. He uses the left side and the iPad Pro more than the two on the right. Resolutions are a bit chaotic too, just take a look at them: 1200 x 1920, 3840 x 2160, 2560 x 1440, 5120 x 2880, 1050 x 1680 and 2732 x 2048. As for the Macs, we are looking at a Mac Studio M1 Ultra and a 2017 iMac with 32GB of RAM, an Intel i5 and a Radeon Pro 580.

This desktop is amazing, with iMac and Mac Studio M1 Ultra built in. Although a closer look casts some chaos

And the question we’ve been asking ourselves for a long time is: do you use all of them to control a rocket going to Mars? Well almost, almost. It indicates that above all does After Effects work, which as we know is quite intensive video editing. The three monitors on the left are connected to the Mac Studio, while the one on the right is connected to the iMac. Both are controlled by Universal Control, to pass work from one to the other.

There are those who like to work with two monitors, others with three screens. What this user is, by all accounts, impressive.
