It’s better to relax at home than wander into the distance: At the “Raffaello Summer Day” in Berlin, the stars reveal their summer plans.
Plenty of sun, 28 degrees under the tent in the traditional Royal Prussian Manufactory in Berlin, just a few meters from the Tiergarten – that’s where the celebrities met for the annual rendezvous of the “Raffaello Summer Day” in the capital.
Actress Elizabeth Hurley (57) arrived from England in a floor-length, off-the-shoulder evening dress in bright red. The Englishwoman enjoyed the heat in the city in a good mood: “England is not warm in summer.” But she prefers the countryside to the city: “The best time there is in spring, when the roses start to bloom and everything smells great, that’s great!” In summer I like to be on the Mediterranean on the Greek islands.” The 57-year-old actress is also a successful businesswoman for swimwear. Her bikini tip: “I move a lot for a good figure – recommend 10,000 steps a day – and do without completely on ready-to-eat products and snacks.” She also recommends every woman to be picky about shape and color: “Try it out until you find what really suits you – and stick with it.”
Lilly zu Sayn-Wittgenstein (49) felt a little uncomfortable in her pompous bright pink robe and high heels and raved about her life on the beach with a bikini: “I’m a different person on the beach,” says the entrepreneur. The sensual experiences, the light and “the natural physical that sets in after two or three days on the beach” have a positive effect on her. The center of her life is now in Athens, only recently she moved there from the mountains directly to the sea and swears by the power of water: “A walk barefoot by the sea cleanses the body, detoxifies in a natural way and is incredibly good!”
30,000 euros for a good cause
The nature experiences that summer brings with it are also enjoyed by actress Jutta Speidel (68): “I have a wonderful garden in my house in Munich, I get up early every day, walk my young dog and swim in the Würm, the flows around the corner from me.” For her Horizon Foundation, with which the socially committed actress runs two women’s shelters in Munich, she received a check from host Raffaello for 30,000 euros to build another shelter. Speidel appealed to the guests not to forget the plight of the often abused women and children: “It’s impossible for hundreds of children to have nowhere to stay in a rich city like Munich!”.
Presenter Caroline Beil (55), who has moved into a single-family house on the outskirts of Berlin in Kleinmachnow with her family, where she will spend the summer, also enjoys the home garden. She has big plans with her husband: “We want to turn our field into a beautiful lawn. My husband has already planted a hedge, created a herb garden behind the house and soon we will have a self-sufficient garden.” The children don’t get bored either: “We go on bike tours through the nearby forest or to the ice cream parlour. They love that”.
Wayne Carpendale (45) is also in the process of moving into a new house in Munich and has rented a camper with a parking space right on Lake Starnberg: “We spend a lot of time there, jumping straight into the lake. The best thing about summer: being outside , to be free!”. His best tip against the heat: “Don’t complain, enjoy!”
Boat or road trip?
Model Franziska Knuppe (47) also enjoys camping – but on the water. She used to be on the Baltic Sea with her husband and 15-year-old daughter. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, they have been cruising around Berlin on the Spree and Havel, diving and jet skiing. The most beautiful thing for her: “the time with the family and the time off from the job”.
Presenter Frauke Ludwig (58) likes to be “on the road” on vacation and travels through Europe by car. In addition to her husband, her two children aged 17 and 18 are always there – and the family dog: “We just drive off, spontaneously decide together where to go next.” She and her husband decided right from the start to “show the children a lot” and they enjoy the “exciting time on the road as a family, with time just for us!”
Giovanni Angiolini smiles at the love rumors
Giovanni Angiolini (41), who was voted “the most beautiful doctor in the country” in Italy, caused a lot of whispering and was recently spotted on a yacht cuddling with presenter Michelle Hunziker (45). With “Amore” everything is going “tutti bene”, smiled the doctor, who appeared with his younger brother Paulo, and raved about his “dream woman” without naming Hunziker: “She is intelligent, has a beautiful smile, is romantic and has a sense of humor,” says Angiolini. The latter is particularly important to him, because life is easier to endure “if you don’t take yourself so seriously,” says the doctor. Born in Sardinia, he also prefers to spend his holidays with his large family on his native island, but in August he is planning a long two-week trip – where and with whom? Angiolini smiling: “Not sure yet…”
Amira Pocher (29), who came to the event in a green dress by Stella McCartney, also came out as an absolute family man: “I’m completely happy, love my husband and our two children, have my own company, I’ve really arrived,” confessed you. Further family planning is not yet complete for the 29-year-old: “First I want my waist back and the children should sleep through the night. But then, let’s see. I’m still young!” The vacation planning for the summer is not final because of the different working dates: “We used to like to fly to Dubai, it’s beautiful there.” But with the children it would no longer be possible because of the heat there. At the moment, they’d much rather have fun in the paddling pool at home and with “Mama’s ice cream”. She herself cools down with “lots of water, damp cloths and a hand fan”.
Summer vacation at the lake
Amira Pocher was also happy to see her “Let’s Dance” partner Massimo Sinató (41), who appeared with his wife Rebecca Mir (30). Both describe themselves as “absolute sun fans”: “Because of our little son, however, shade is more popular at the moment,” the dancer objects. The family spends the summer at the lakes around their home town of Mannheim with “stand-up paddling and barbecuing – preferably steak,” says the TV star with Italian roots. His favorite summer drink: “Espresso latte with 3 ice cubes and a cold beer!”
