The head of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Alejandro Luzón, has agreed to file the open proceedings to investigate the intermediation of Tomás Diaz Ayuso, brother of the President of the Madrid Government, in an anti-Covid material contract awarded by the Community of Madrid during the pandemic.

“The investigation carried out allows us to rule out the existence of criminally relevant conduct in the process of acquiring masks from the company.
Priviet Sportive”, belonging to a friend of the Diaz Ayusos, affirms the file decree.

Regarding Isabel Díaz Ayuso, the anti-corruption prosecutor affirms that the criminal hypothesis raised by the PSOE, Más Madrid and United We Can in their complaints “was based on a sequence of events from which no reasonably plausible evidence was initially deduced or of the carrying out of the investigated fact, nor of its criminal nature nor of the responsibility in it of the appraised person”.

“The investigation carried out in these proceedings has not confirmed the aforementioned criminal hypothesis nor does it allow further progress in it,” adds Luzón, who agrees to the file “without making any pronouncement regarding the possible crimes of embezzlement, fraud against the financial interests of the European Union and bribery” which is being investigated by the European Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the same facts.
