Orange has reached an agreement with the streaming platform dedicated to sports DAZN to distribute all your content through Orange TV. The operator, which is in the process of merging with MásMóvil, has not revealed the rates for its new content offer, but it will announce them “in the coming weeks.”

From this, starting in August, Orange TV users, in addition to accessing the DAZN LaLiga package, will be able to enjoy other international football competitions. Among them are the Premier League, UWCL, Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana, FA Cup and Copa Italia.

The new content offer also includes other sports and competitionssuch as MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3, F1, Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and Matchroom boxing, and does not leave out the original documentaries and specials that characterize DAZN.

So, how will we access these contents? As in Movistar, DAZN LaLiga will have a specific linear channel on Orange TV, mind you, it will only be available on encoders. You can also use the DAZN application, available for mobile phones and Smart TVs.

Purchase of emission rights and new content offer

As our colleagues at Xataka Móvil explain, this movement comes after the auction of LaLiga rights. In December, DAZN had acquired the broadcast rights for 175 games over the next five seasons, leaving the rest in the hands of Movistar.

After the agreement between Orange and DAZN, we already know what the Orange TV content offer will look like, however, something remains to be done. doWe can see Movistar matches? The CEO of Orange Spain has expressed his intentions to continue offering all football.

In addition, the National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) requires the sale of rights to alternative operators at a regulated price, so the conditions are in place so that everything remains the same. However, we will have to wait to find out what will finally happen.
