Invited to the Touche plateau not at my post this Wednesday, June 22, Marlène Schiappa confided in her years spent in government. She remembered her husband’s reaction to his nomination.
For Marlène Schiappa, it’s a new life. After five years in the government of Emmanuel Macron, the former minister was not reappointed by Elisabeth Borne for the second five-year term of the President of the Republic. This Wednesday, June 22, she was present in Touche pas à mon poste to discuss her new book, Is that a good situation, Minister? And on the set, she remembered the announcement of her appointment to the government and in particular the reaction of her husband, Cédric Bruguière. “I don’t think he understood what was going on. And in fact, we broke up shortly before for a year, before getting back together. I told him: ‘you know, I’m campaigning, I’m very close to Emmanuel Macron’. I don’t think he understood. began Marlène Schiappa, who did not warn anyone that she was going to be appointed minister before the official announcement.
“It was when I introduced the candidate’s big meeting, in Lyon, and he saw me on BFM, and he said to himself: ‘but she’s my wife’. There, he began to understand that in fact, I was not exaggerating and that I was in the countryside and that something was going to happen”, added the former member of the government. First Secretary of State in charge of Equality between Women and Men and the Fight against Discrimination from May 2017 to July 2020, she was then appointed Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior, in charge of Citizenship until May 2022. Now free from her political functions, Marlène Schiappa is teeming with projects, including one with Cyril Hanouna. “For me, you have a talent, and I think you should turn to the media”launched the facilitator.
Marlène Schiappa: “I talk a lot with Cyril Hanouna”
“I am a loyal person, it was Cyril Hanouna who first told me to think about this (…) he is someone who knows immediately what will work”, added Marlène Schiappa. On the antenna of CNews Tuesday, June 21, she explained to love the media. “I had three proposals, I’m discussing them. I can’t tell you more for the moment, I have to choose among these proposals, confided the former minister of Emmanuel Macron without saying more. Maybe I’ll have others coming as well. So I’m thinking.” Asked about a possible arrival on C8, she kicked in touch: “I discuss a lot with Cyril Hanouna. There is no television program planned on C8, contrary to what I read in the press. But we discuss. I have projects and therefore I ask him for his notice”.
