Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer reveals that the film was going to have even more deaths

Though Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness included very unexpected deaths in his story, the film’s writer, michael waldron mentioned to TheDirect that the script originally included more extremely brutal deaths

Wasp was going to be a victim

Waldron commented that Wasp would be part of illuminati Y was also destined to be killed by Wandawho crushed her with his hands as if she were an insect:

“Originally, Wasp was part of that version of the Illuminati. She shrunk and flew to Wanda, and [Wanda] he simply clapped his hands and crushed Wasp. That’s how it was in the first draft of the script.”

However, the idea was scrapped after the film’s producer, Richie Palmer, He said that he was concerned about Marvel’s opinion of a sequence that was too violent or gory, so they decided to remove some deaths.

Mordo was not going to be saved either!

To add more unexpected and painful deaths, the director sam raimi confirmed that Baron Mordo from universe 616 he was also going to be killed by Wanda, even the scene was filmed but was scrapped in the final cut. “She killed him and cut off his head. [Luego] introduced him to Strange in a later scene.”, Rami added.

Although he did not specify why they decided to remove the scene, the fact that the character is still alive, which could indicate that the character will have an important role in future MCU films. Let us remember that in Multiverse of Madness Strange He briefly mentioned that the Mordo of his world had spent the last few years trying to kill him, so he still has the potential to be a powerful villain.
