Austria Wien knows how to surprise!
The Viennese, who were still financially stricken in the spring, suddenly play an important role on the transfer market. After Haris Tabakovic (Austria Lustenau), James Holland (LASK), Christian Früchtl (Bayern Munich) and Maltan Baltaxa (Maccabi Tel Aviv), the Violets also signed Reinhold Ranftl from Schalke 04 on loan including a purchase option.
Another commitment should not be long in coming. LASK striker Marko Raguz has long been an object of desire, but now numbers are making the rounds that amaze.
1.3 million for Raguz?
“The change is as good as fixed! LASK will collect 1.3 million,” wants the “Crown” from an insider. A lot of money, especially for Austria, especially for a striker who has not recovered since his cruciate ligament rupture in November 2020.
Business with the 24-year-old also poses a risk for LASK. If he were to find top form again, he would certainly be worth more on the international market. It is also interesting that Jürgen Werner apparently relies on top performers from LASK times at Austria. With Holland, Ranftl and Raguz he would have taken three former protégés.
