New operation against the fixes

This is a new operation against alleged match-fixing linked to football, in this case focused on an organization that had been operating since at least May 2021, when they were detected by the General Directorate for the Regulation of Gambling for the irregular behavior of the betting market on occasion of a third division match.

The organization was divided into several levels and was made up of soccer players who took advantage of their condition to organize sports fixes in teams under their influence. Once the sporting event was predetermined, the organization placed bets on the fixed matches, obtaining “great profits”, according to the aforementioned sources.
