Fernando Alonso lived a carousel of emotions in the Canadian Grand Prix. He started from the top, with his second position on the starting grid, and finished much lower, weighed down by bad luck and with a penalty after the International Automobile Federation (FIA) which made him fall to ninth position.
The two-time world champion began the race dreaming of returning to the podium and finished it within the ‘Top 10’ by a hair. He knew he had missed one of his best opportunities of the season and couldn’t help a fit of anger when he finished the race. Still in his car, he punched the steering wheel three times to vent his anger and turn the page. next station, the British Grand Prix (July 3).
It is the image of frustration. The image of a Fernando Alonso who, once again, luck left him aside and ruined all his podium options in Canada… 😫
