The festival summer 2022 is in full swing and the corona pandemic is almost forgotten. The fans of the Düsseldorf band “The dead trousers” may still be short of two long years without any large-scale live performances.

Not least because “The dead trousers“Fans were left with the costs of the canceled “Everything without electricity” tour. Until now, because there’s good news for all pants fans.

“Die Toten Hosen”: NRW consumer center sues for ticket buyers

So far, many fans are still waiting for the full refund of the ticket costs. ‘Kauf mich GmbH’ was to blame for this. The sale and reverse processing of the tickets were regulated via the platform.

These are “The dead trousers“:

  • The band was formed in Dusseldorf in 1982
  • They have released 18 studio albums, seven concert albums and seven compilations to date
  • The band also played Christmas carols under the pseudonym “Die rote Rosen”.
  • They landed a real summer hit in 2012 with their song “An Days Like These”.

After the failure, however, only part of the purchase price has been refunded so far. The presale fee was withheld. “In addition, it limited the right to reimbursement via the online customer account to the end of October 2020. The Traunstein District Court has now ruled that it was wrong,” says the consumer advice center in North Rhine-Westphalia.

“Die Toten Hosen”: concert-goers badly duped by ticket providers

After a lawsuit by the NRW consumer advice center, the court now found that the ticket provider acted wrongly. The company is obliged to pay out the full amount. Means the fans finally get their money back!

The scam with which the provider duped the customers is particularly bitter. “The presale fees were not shown at the time of purchase. Consumers could therefore not know whether and to what extent fees would be charged,” explains Iwona Husemann, a lawyer at the NRW consumer advice center.

“Die Toten Hosen” fans can be happy: there is money back

The deadline set for the reimbursement claims was therefore also arbitrary. From a legal point of view, consumers can assert their claims within the regular limitation period of three years.
